FAQ

Before the first session

Didn’t find your question? Ask us directly

Does my problem need to be serious enough?
There is no threshold for seeking therapy. If something is troubling you enough that you are reading this page, that is enough. You do not need to be experiencing a serious or specific mental health difficulty to start psychotherapy. You may seek support during a period of change, anxiety, uncertainty, or relationship difficulties, or simply because you want to understand yourself better.
How long is a session and how often?
A psychotherapy session usually lasts around 50 minutes. This time is dedicated entirely to you and to the thoughts, feelings and concerns you wish to explore during the therapeutic process.
Are online sessions as effective?
For most concerns, research suggests comparable outcomes to in-person therapy. Online psychotherapy can provide a safe and confidential therapeutic setting, comparable to that of in-person sessions. It also offers greater flexibility for people who live far away or have difficulty travelling. All you need is a stable internet connection and a private space where you can be undisturbed for 50 minutes.
Which languages do you work in?
Greek and English.
What does the psychologist tell my parents or others?
Nothing. Whatever is said in session is confidential. I do not share information with parents, partners or employers without your explicit consent.
What do we talk about in the first session?
You do not need to prepare anything. You tell me in your own words what brings you here, I ask a few questions to get to know you, and we set out how we will work together. It is a conversation, not an exam.
