Dopamine overload & the «dopamine detox»

You jump from one stimulus to the next, get bored within seconds, and simple pleasures no longer fill you. The «dopamine detox» idea went viral, but behind it is something real: your reward system has learned to want more and more.

What it looks like

Constantly chasing the next «hit» (notifications, food, shopping, series, scrolling), trouble doing boring but important tasks, procrastination, and a background restlessness when nothing is happening.

What's really going on

You don't «empty» dopamine with a detox. What changes is your relationship with fast stimulation: the more you chase it, the less it satisfies. We work to rediscover pleasure in things with slower, deeper reward.

How we work together

With realistic steps, not extreme «detoxes». We gradually reduce super-stimuli, rebuild tolerance for boredom and focus, and look at what anxiety or emptiness hides beneath the need for constant stimulation.

What to expect

50-minute sessions, online or in person in Thessaloniki, in Greek or English. No commitment.

Anonymous and in 2–3 minutes, for a first picture of what's going on. You can bring the result to your session.

The tests are informational and are not a diagnosis.

FAQ

Good to know

Does a «dopamine detox» work?
As a trend, it's often oversimplified. As an idea, reducing super-stimuli helps, but lasting change comes when you understand what feeds them.
Is it related to ADHD or anxiety?
They often coexist. If you suspect ADHD, we can look at it and guide you toward assessment where needed.
Can I work on it online?
Yes, just as effectively.
